1. There is a minimum rental period of 3 months and a maximum rental period of one (1) year. At the end of the rental period, the instrument must be returned to Als Music or purchased as stated in section 5. Band instruments may be returned at any time. After the minimum period, you are fully responsible for the rent each month in advance until the instrument is either returned to Al’s Music or purchased. (Al’s Music will allow a 5-day grace period for payments and returns.)
2. Monthly statements will be provided for your convenience near the end of the minumum rental period. It is the renter’s responsibility to make the monthly payments on time. Failure to do so will result in a late fee of $5.00 which may not be applied towards purchase.
3. The Renter accepts full responsibility for the instrument described herein (including, without limitation, accidents, loss and theft) and agrees to pay for any damage (except normal wear) and further agrees that all repairs must be done by Al’s Music. Renter’s responsibility includes reimbursement to Al’s Music for the value, as set forth in Section 5, of any instrument that is lost or stolen. (The optional Maintenance & Replacement Program provides protection for most accidents, loss and theft – see information sheet for full details.)
4. The instrument described herein shall remain the property of Al’s Music and may not be removed from Renter’s stated address or vicinity without the consent of Al’s Music. In the event the instrument is removed from the Renter’s stated address or vicinity or the instrument is lost, stolen or destroyed, Renter shall immediately notify Al’s Music.
5. Renter shall be in default under this agreement by failing to make timely payment within thirty (30) days of the due date. Upon default, Al’s Music can demand immediate payment of all rent due under the agreement without further notice, and Renter shall be responsible for all costs of collection, including, without limitation, attorney’s fees. In addition to all other remedies of Al’s Music, upon default Al’s Music reserves the right to pick up and repossess the instrument without further notification. A fee of $20.00 will be assessed on any instrument that Al’s Music has to pick up. There will be a $30.00 NSF fee on any returned checks.

When you decide to purchase an instrument:

• Applicable rent may be applied toward the purchase of any band instrument.
• Purchase price of any new instrument will be at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price plus sales tax, at the time the renter elects to purchase.
• If rental instrument is returned and an instrument is not purchased, all rental payments which have been paid to Al’s Music will be treated strictly as rent paid for the use of the instrument.
• Application of rental payments towards the purchase price are available only for the individual account holder who has been renting the instrument and may not be transferred to or combined with any other rental account.
• All rent and late fees (if any) must be up to date.
• 100% of all rent paid applies toward to purchase price of the instrument.
• Payment plans are available to qualified customers.
